On the western shore of Beaver Lake, lies Beaver Lake State park. The land for this park was purchased in 1930 and Beaver Creek was later dammed in 1933 to raise the level of the lake.
Nestled on 200 acres of gently rolling praries, this park provides seasonal activities May through Labor Day. The lake provides a perfect venue for swimming, fishing, boating , waterskiing and canoeing.
Beaver Lake State Park also provides beautiful scenic views for hiking, camping and picnicking. With two cabins and twenty-five campsites with electrical hookup, water and sewer, the park is a great place to camp. There is also a great playground for kids.
Directions
Beaver Lake State Park is located 17 miles southeast of Napoleon. From Napoleon head south on ND Highway 3 for eight miles, then head east on the Burnstad Road seven miles to Beaver Lake State Park turn-off. From here go one mile north and then one mile east.
